Remember the business must be open and staff must be available for appointments to be scheduled.
Staff daily hours are the times when a staff person or resource is available on specific dates. If a weekly/regular schedule is defined, then the Daily Hours will override the Weekly Hours.
Daily hours can be used exclusively when there is no regular weekly schedule. Or they can be used to set up exceptions, time-off and/or overtime.
To set up Staff - Daily Hours Open the Availability manager From the Receptionist click the Availability tab on the top right
Make selections in the blue panel: (For Admin users only) Select the Staff option (For multiple staff accounts only) Select the Staff name from the drop down
Select the option Daily Hours (exceptions) Choose an option either Multi-date : Select up to 30 specific dates throughout the year. This allows you to set up vacations. Then choose specific dates from the calendar. or Date range : Look at the upcoming week or month. Then choose the start and end dates of the date range.
Choose an action or change selections in the green panel When your selections in the blue panel are complete. You'll see actions in the green panel. Initially the only action is View. Click the View button (The selected schedule will appear.)
Click the Edit button to make changes. (You cannot take time off when an appointment is present!) Click and drag the mouse to highlight the hours of availability. On touch devices you can touch the top left time cell, then touch the bottom right time cell to select an area of time. (If you have multiple locations, be sure to first select the correct location!) Save when updates are complete.
Notice**: Dates when exceptions are in place have a white background. When you see this you will also have an action Clear Exceptions. This is a great new feature. It allows your to switch exceptions on or off for exception dates, then save the one you want.
Notice**: If you have multiple staff, you'll have an option to Copy To. This allows you to copy one staff schedule to another staff schedule. This is great time saver when you have a bunch of staff that have the same schedule.
